Day 1 — Sign Up and Get Your API Key
Register your merchant account, share the relevant parts of your product catalog, and receive your VeloMedicine API key.
This first step establishes the credentials and product context you need before embedding anything in checkout.
Day 2-3 — Add the Widget
Drop a single script tag into your checkout page and configure the product SKU, name, category, and price.
The widget handles the rest of the front-end experience, including consent, the health survey, and qualification status messaging.
Day 4 — Configure Webhooks
Set up HMAC-signed webhook notifications so your systems receive real-time updates when a customer qualifies, is denied, or receives an LMN.
Webhook delivery keeps fulfillment, analytics, and support workflows in sync with the qualification outcome.
Day 5 — Test and Go Live
Use sandbox mode to test the end-to-end flow, verify webhook delivery, and confirm that your checkout messaging is correct.
Once validation is complete, swap to production credentials and begin accepting HSA/FSA payments.
What Happens Behind the Scenes
When a customer submits a health survey, VeloMedicine's software organizes the responses, a licensed provider evaluates eligibility, and an LMN is issued if the customer qualifies.
The full workflow typically completes in under two minutes, which keeps the checkout experience fast while preserving clinical oversight.
